I am not necessarily a Nebraska fan, However I’m a fan of a great college football teams with a history of winning. I’m 51 and was alive during the big 8 and when Nebraska was in the big 12. This is not meant to be an insult, just a question. With Nebraska being in the Big Ten and their location in the conference, do you think it hurts recruiting? Nebraska at one time was able to recruit out of Texas and the families of those players could at least watch approximately six games a year without going further than probably 300 miles. Leaving the big 12 now put any Texas player (remember many of them come from low social economical background) and family a plane trip to every game. California may not be a factor because everywhere they go out of the West Coast conference could be a plane ride away and I think it would be easier to recruit out of Florida being in the big 12. I flew with Tom Osborne on a plane ride one time and that made me even a bigger admirer of Nebraska, I would like to see them on top again.
