Here it is listing Peetz as TE/OC and Satterfield QB/OC
My thoughts as well…I feel like that's backwards based on their previous roles at other places
You didn't know our backup long snapper from 2005 and you call yourself a fan?I had to look up Jake Peetz.
I agree. I've heard of him but never knew he went to Nebraska.I believe your short answer is wrong. That’s just the popular in some circles thing to say. I’ve been following the Huskers since the early 70’s and I can’t recall Jake Peetz at all. I actually think nobody thinks it was a good hire simply because he’s a former Husker.
Not any more I don't because I'll never be able to live down the shame of what happened today. Goodbye cruel Husker world!!You didn't know our backup long snapper from 2005 and you call yourself a fan?
And was coached by the great Bill CallahanI thought he might be the OC hire honestly. Think he was OC at LSU for a little bit. Has worked under Saban and McVay. My favorite hire so far.
My larger point was that I don’t believe there is a large fan contingent that is okay with any/all coach hires just because they’re a former Husker. I’ve seen that narrative pushed but I have yet to see the semi-knowledgeable fan that actually thinks it’s a qualification.I agree. I've heard of him but never knew he went to Nebraska.
Well...TBH, I wouldn’t be able to name 95% of the players from the Callahan era. I tuned out of A LOT of games at that time.
Oh I agree totally and understood what you meant. I feel the same.My larger point was that I don’t believe there is a large fan contingent that is okay with any/all coach hires just because they’re a former Husker. I’ve seen that narrative pushed but I have yet to see the semi-knowledgeable fan that actually thinks it’s a qualification.
Just because everyone wanted Scott Frost when he was hired doesn’t mean it was solely based on him being a former Husker.
