Jason Peter Speaks Honestly

I don't know why, but something sparks a fire in me when I hear these guys talk. I actually like hearing them voice their anger w/ the program right now...because I know the players and coaches see and hear it! They haven't done a damn thing to prove them wrong yet.

 
good interview. i guess i hadn't seen a picture of jason in a long time. i know he had a drug problem until recently, but he has lost a ton of weight. he looks completely different to me.

Wow, the teams of old would try to tear each others heads off in practice. It made them better. If they could take a beating like that and have the mind set going into a game that.... I'm gonna beat the hell out of you, that would take this team a long way.

NFL attitude? good question. I certainly don't see that rage and attitude before the plays, durring or after in 99% of NFL players or teams. Previously I thought the NFL attitude was a copout, but after thinking it over, it just may like hitting the nail on the head.

 
Is there any chance we can sneak these guys on field and have them play...Wistrom could still do it!!! I hope BC allows these guys to be talking with his players this week and before the game. If they cannot get fired up after talking and visiting with these guys, there are some serious, serious problems!!!!!!

Last I knew there was an open invitation for the past players to visit the team. Now I don't know if thats something that has to be scheduled or what not.

I read on Rivals that they are letting the old players come to the feild Friday for the walk-through practice. They are going to provide some words of encouragement.

 
Does Callahan only understand NFL mentality? Is he capable of bringing himself down to the college football level? He would have to do a turnaround, and I don't know if he can.

I think J.P. is right about Pete Carroll. He didn't do well in the NFL because he probably always had a college football mentality, and he couldn't do a turnaround. I'm afraid we may have the wrong fit.

When the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, be careful what you wish for. It may not be what you thought it would be. Pederson saw greener grass, and the minute he went over to the other side of the fence, it turned brown. What a shame.

 
Thanks for the link. I agree with JP 100% when he said "You have to dominate the line of scrimage on both sides of the ball and be a physical defense." And that this team is not a physical team & not holding each other accountable. If you cant do it, find someone who can. And college football needs a motivator, it's not the NFL, play for the name on the front of the jersey and not on the back.

And that's all there really is to it.
