Jeremy Lin's Shelf Life

What is the shelf life of Jeremy Lin's stardom?

First time watching him live this season. What I've noticed is his effort on defensive side of the ball. Usually NBA players take it easy on the defensive end during the regular season.

Which a huge reason why the NBA sucks these days. I don't remember guys like Jordan or Bird half-assing it, ever.

I don't really watch NBA anymore, but I'm definitely more interested now that someone has risen up to that elite level without having an oversized ego like most NBA stars these days.

Watching some interviews on Lin, he seems like a humble, down to earth guy who is looking out for the best interest of his team.

He doesn't embrace the attention he's getting because he knows that stardom can fade as fast as it comes.

Oh, ESPN...

^^ Do you think the "Chink" headline was calculated by espn? It had to be, didn't it? They knew it would start a sh#tstorm, but figured the added traffic would outweigh any negative consequences. Either that or they are just totally f'ing idiots.

That's why I really like Blake Griffin. Not only is he a human highlight reel, but he also seems to give 100% effort at all times. He's easily my favorite player in the NBA.

if any of you wanted to know i have his phone number...a co-worker of mine has it because her brother played basketball at harvard for 3 years and happened to be roomates with jeremy all of those years, and no i have done nothing with his number, and do not plan on doing anything with it

Also my first time watching live yesterday, the guy is clutch. Some of his turnovers rose my eyebrows but he would always come back with some ridiculous pass or shot. I think until teams determine the best method to contain him he will continue to impress. But the Mavs method of doubling him in the backcourt may have been the best defense for someone with his skill set.

If any of you wanted to know...I collected hair samples of Jeremy when he was at Harvard and I have his families phone number. I haven't done anything with the number, and of course do not plan on doing anything with it. Just an FYI.
