Jim Harbaugh to the Colts?

Heard today that Irsay really likes Saban. So, thinking he is #1 target but not sure he wants to venture back to the NFL.
If Bama wins another NC you could persuade me although I'd believe it when I actually see it. Indy is about as good of a situation as you can ask for if you if you were looking at a potential NFL opening with a solid QB and a weak division to compete in. Plus, you don't have the immense expectations that come with being the HC at Alabama. I would fully expect that Saban will demand complete control (something he didn't have in Miami). I can't remember where I heard this, but he was lobbying pretty hard for Brees when he was a FA and ended up with Culpepper instead.

I spent about 15 minutes thinking about this earlier today before I realized it was a futile exercise haha. You'd have to think a guy like Jimbo Fisher would be pretty high up on the list.

My guess...whoever they wanted...they would open up the checkbook and steal a coach

I know an Alabama grad who is interested in taking one final adventure

I really think it was Saban. But i think he will stay in college until he decides to retire and then off to ESPN.
Dude has got it made. Right now, if he were to leave for the NFL and be a bust again, the narrative would be a lot more mixed than it currently is. A lot of younger fans don't even remember his time as the Dolphins HC. Chip Kelly is a good example right now of somebody who people respect as a college HC but his abilities have been somewhat tainted after being let go from Philly.

Yea I agree with this. Saban wants to be able to control his team and he couldn't do that in the NFL. He recruits like crazy in college and he is a good enough coach to get a great defense and be able to run the football. He is staying put unless he has a really bad season which seems almost impossible barring any sanctions, which won't happen cause he runs a clean program.
