I think this was supposed to be in jest - and it was in response to a (mild) attack on him - but he hasn't gotten away from a couple terms that zoogs warned him about.

I listen to the show a lot. Never heard him say that about Fant. He knows the kid and family pretty well. Has mentioned many times he just gets the feeling he won't end up at Nebraska.

In the last 2 days DB said he doesn't know, but that Fant may be undervalued by Nebraska
He said Fant isn't the kind of kid that grew up with dad taking him to NU games, not a dyed in the wool NU kid
He said Fant is a bit overwhelmed and surprised with the attention
Hope he is N- but those close to the situation don't seem very confident about it
When it comes to Fant- the only person I would be listening to is Fant or DB- anything else is just a guess

You should continue to get it from the pooled ignorance from a couple of foam fingered fans living in moms basement, who played one season of Pop Warner football, get most of their football knowledge tips their younger sisters and an overdue library book called "Football For Dummys" and whose entire Husker experience comes from going to one free admission spring game in 2010 and some youtube clips.

Either this guy has never been on a moderated board, or the board he was on let crap like this go all the time. He's not going to last; the other members will run him off without us having to do a thing.

OK....this is getting really old. I honestly have never seen a poster on here as much into himself as this idiot. He doesn't add to any discussions other than insulting everyone else on the board.

If this is allowed to continue, other posters (and possibly me) will be gone.

I lobbed a general "knock it off" reply to him in the "Riley Shelf Life" thread as a warning to knock off the insults. Dude doesn't get it.

Yeah, he's just not able to state an opinion in a civil manner. I sent a couple of PMs to him two days ago kindly suggesting that he tone it down a notch. I even made specific suggestions as to how he could phrase things so as not to offend people. But he just doesn't get it. Or he doesn't care.

You have to admit though, he's generating some good conversation in the Football forum, which would ordinarily be dead this time of year. (And I don't see BRB or any other poster leaving because of this guy. lol)

You gotta wonder what this guy is like in real life. I'm guessing he's a crotchety old business owner who is not used to having his subordinates talk back to him. I suspect this might be his first foray onto an Interwebz message board. lol

I don't believe half the stuff he says about his experience either. He comes across as the classic internet "smart guy."

Well, I see that he's logged off temporarily after we brought up punctuation in response to his spelling smack. Maybe he'll calm down some before he resumes posting again. Or maybe he'll just go away.

 
Mavric's post brings up a good point and made me laugh. He's walking towards the gallos as we speak and he's only doing it to himself. At some point here he needs a formal warning. If anything he's flaming right now, which is a violation of board rules.

 
I received the same PM as saunders.

I would love to keep him here if he's geneating content, but obviously, it can't be at the cost of losing members or seeing responses drop. I haven't really read much of what he's done, so I don't know if his latest is just posting in an obnoxious manner or if it's breaking the rules. If the former, I think we've done all we can and when members complaint, we remind them of the Ignore function. But if it's the latter, then I agree with BRI (*gasp*). Give him a formal warning for whatever it is - flaming, personal attack, or whatever. Suspend him for 7 days, and send him an email (the warning system allows you to inform the member via PM or email; when they are suspended, as I recall, they don't get PMs) telling him that he's been suspended for 7 days, that we hope that he can amend his behavior when he returns, but if not, his account will be banned.
