Jordan Burroughs

Congratulations!! He is now a two time National Champion winner, that makes him the #1 wrestler in Husker history!
Agreed. There will be some folks who say otherwise, but his last two years speak for themselves. He is the greatest.

Caldwell never had a prayer. Thought this could be interesting after Caldwell wrestled great in the Big XII title matchup. THis one was never close. He SHOULD be the wrestler of the year hands down.

Congrats to Burroughs. Dude is a stud.

Daughter and I watched this live on one of the ESPNs the other day--couldn't believe that the match was that close.

IIRC, Burroughs had a 20-pt win in the Wisconsin dual a few weeks back as well (on the B1G Network, no less). No one really has come close to touching this kid. They said good things about our program and how we'll improve competition on July 1.

This one was a runaway after their last match in the Big XII Championship. Burroughs won that one 2-1 thanks to an escape with about a minute left in the 3rd period. It was the only match this year he didn't record a takedown. I thought it might be a good match because of that. Glad it didn't though. Again he is the best to come through as a "College Wrestler" not post NU, yet.....

What RedTexan is trying to say is that Burroughs has won the Hodge Trophey, This is wrestling's version of the Heisman. Well done Jordan. Best ever, write in stone now
