Jordan Westerkamp

Looks like it's the Eagles!
Haha, take that zoogs!

Yesterday made me a happy guy. Both Gerry and Westy landing on the Eagles is pretty exciting. I"m pretty much the only Eagles fan I know.

I still remember how elated I was when they took Henery years ago. He was a fire that burned very brightly but quickly in Philly... let's hope these two last longer!

Edit: I think Westy was just retweeting that in support of Gerry. That is him in the tweet, isn't it? If so, bummer. Hope it happens... the Eagles need some receivers.

Hard to imagine, a guy who catches everything, has no on or off field issues has to go this route.....

Best of luck. I can imagine he will shine brighter with a QB who can get him the ball.

On these reports what's the difference between Westerkamp trying out for the Bucs vs when Reilly was signed by the Bills? or is it the same?

The main difference is if you're an undrafted free agent, you sign your contract immediately," the agent said. "If you're getting invited for a tryout, you're not signing a contract. You're basically going out there with a two- or thee-day tryout and then they decide out of this pool of 15 or 20 guys they brought in, 'OK, we're going to sign this one or that one.' Then at that point, (tryout players) sign their contract as an undrafted free agent."

Interesting...

These guys who got tryouts, they are going to have to work hard to impress, I hope they make it.

Damn I hope he is healthy enough to show them what he's got.

If not, I could see him taking the long way... Canadian for a year and tearing the hell out of that league then getting a shot.
