How many of these JUCOs that we are going after can even play this year? Great for depth, practice, lowering the reps the guys who actually can play take during practice.. but a guy like Mike doesn't improve a thin WR room that much.

Still want him on the team for the year after, he can do damage.

Thinking of transfers maybe? These guys have immediate eligibility

This is an offense that sometimes goes five wide. Right now for Spring we are splitting reps of those on scholarship between Stanley Morgan, Keyan Williams, Zack Darlington, JD Spielman and Tyjon Lindsey, Justin McGriff, and Jaevon McQuitty who is coming off an injury. Darlington has yet to show he has a role on the team beyond place holding and who knows what we are getting in  Keyan Williams.  There's plenty of reps to go around for Mike Williams.

Have to wonder if Darlington back to qb is a thought. He was a highly recruited dual threat out of hs.  He now has a offense that suits his skillset

If he does, it would likely just be for depth at the position. Couldn't see him actually competing for the starting spot at this point. Though, he likely won't compete for a starting job at WR neither.... Heckuva holder, though.

I don't honestly see how Darlington contributes to this team other than being the holder on place kicks.

That, and being one of the first guys off the bus.

the amount of speed on the field for us next year is going to be absolutely ridiculous

It's more likely to be true the longer Frost is here, but how many times have we said that over the years? Seems like every year.
