The b******* on Black Friday thread started by resident rabble-rouser imgonnasuhyou has taken a turn for the worst, I think. We're starting to see posters basically calling imgonnasuhyou retarded, which is getting close to personal attacks. Actually, it really is a personal attack.

I've thought about locking it up with a warning about personally attacking a poster, but not issuing actual factual warnings. Sound good to everyone?

 
imgonnasuhyou is just stirring the muck. I'm for giving him a week to cool off, gents. This is his second pointless thread in the last few days, and I gave him a warning about ten days ago for making up false rumors about injuries. He's got a -22 rep dating back to when we had negative rep, and I don't see the usefulness of having him around.

Anyone have a problem with a one-week ban?

Since nobody seemed to have a problem with a one-week ban, and since this guy is violating Rule One's ban against trolling, I gave him a one-week ban.

If what you are considering posting doesn’t advance the issue being discussed – if it’s just taking a “shot” at someone – then either don’t post it, or phrase it in a way that meets the rules.

There is absolutely no reason to verbally attack another user (aka flaming), and/or posting a message for the express purpose of generating a negative response (trolling).

Any defamatory posts made against HuskerBoard, its representatives, or any other member may result in an immediate ban or temporary account disablement.
