I shouldn't continue to harp on this, but geesh... I don't know and don't understand the knapplc that has put himself on display in the DBHOF the last couple of days. Something has gone awry with him in recent years. I've been reading the things he's been saying, and for all his piety and self-righteousness, he's incredibly tone deaf to how ridiculous he behaves. And then he has the nerve to claim that JJ is the one who doesn't realize how bad he looks in all this?

Not to mention that he tries to flex in direct messages to me every few months... whether it was demanding an explanation for Landlord's ban or asking for personalized responses to the reports he submits. I loathe engaging with him on just about any topic (particularly anything to do with board moderation) because I know the exact direction it's going to go. It all usually ends with him taking his ball home, adding the disagreement to a master list of ways he perceives people to have slighted him, and then using that as ammunition down the road whenever he sees fit. Just look at how many times he's tried to resurface the "make emojis public" issue even though he has been told time and again that it's not going to happen.

He told Nuance the other day that he was disappointed in the kind of poster Nuance had become.

Look in the mirror, knapplc.

 
I'm really tempted to start digging through his posts and giving him warnings when he does something that he complains about others doing (not contributing to the conversation, "trolling" by taking his pot shots, etc.).

I'm sure I won't but it would be fun just to see the meltdown.

 
Let it be known - failing to explicitly identify whether or not you're posting as a 'member' or as a 'Mod' can lead to tangent-like posturing about how the board is or isn't functioning in comparison to the last 15 years, and when called out for fostering said tangent, one should double down and pile on additional accusations in order to deflect any attention onto oneself.

I read those last few posts. You're not wrong. If that statement were made about any other class... those guys are screaming that it's hate speech. I'm still open to nuking that entire forum from orbit.

I just find the whole thing to be representative of how untrustworthy and hypocritical knapplc has become.

He has never once had a problem when I suggest other posters he has regular disagreements with are making poor attempts at honest conversation. I've done it to Archy more than once in recent months. Yet, I one time suggest someone is being a bit off color in relation to a topic he has very strong opinions about (i.e. his dislike for the Catholic Church/Christianity/etc.) and all of a sudden its an indictment into the way the board has been functioning for 15 years.

And it's such a bulls#!t accusation anyways. "It's difficult to tell which hat you're wearing sometimes." Nobody has ever had to sit in our shoes and say 'hey everyone let me put my Mod pants on real quick why I drop a comment in this thread.' It is patently obvious when we're telling someone to knock something off vs. when we're trying to contribute, and he and his little goon squad drop me +1's any time I do former. There was very little about my post/tone that should've suggested I was telling funhusker off for something.

All those recent admo reports are about knapplc.

From what I can tell, knapplc is on a roll, repeatedly calling out other board members to denounce behavior from the Republican party or its politicians. He's also tossing out thinly veiled insults a la "I'm sure we'll be hearing outright condemnation for this from our righty HB friends in the next 24 hours." Or, there's also this gem from the other day.

I don't know the history admo is alleging, but knapplc is definitely harassing other board members. It's very common for several posters to say things like "can't wait for our resident (insert Republican or Democrat) posters to do X, Y, Z" but this is a bit excessive.

Yeah, I don't really know what the history is.

But if he's going to continue posting whatever one-off comment from some random person somewhere and calling everyone out but only doing that in one direction, it pretty clearly trolling/flaming and isn't contributing to the conversation.

 
This behavior he's displaying is along the same vein of what he received a warning for last January. admo appears to have fired back a few times throughout this, though.

I was learning towards either some form of public admonishment (e.g. post quoting in a thread and telling him to knock it off). Could also send him a PM but sometimes I think doing it in public sends a better message that this kind of stuff isn't OK to more than just him. Thoughts?

@Mavric I'm real, real close to losing my s#!t with knapplc.

He has tagged me multiple times today. I don't know what his play is but clearly something has ruffled his feathers.
