This is a direct contradiction to ...
He is a good player, but I was just trying to point out that with the small class I thought we were going to be a little more picky. I am sure he could be built into a better player in the future...would be great to get a guy that can go quickly with the current depth issues. Also, this year he is the only stud they have...last two years they had D1 prospects at multiple positions and we had to focus more on them then Alston.

I think it's easier to take developmental players when your already good and don't need immediate impact players. Also I think the goal is to be level with Ohio state and Michigan not strive to be like Wisconsin and Iowa

Pretty sure Wisconsin played Michigan and Ohio State right to the wire last year and aren't far off. Iowa is certainly a stretch but striving to be Wisconsin is just fine since there is little to no gap between Michigan, OSU, and them.

Plenty of us on here have no way of identifing future talent for kids coming out of highschool whether that kids is two star or five. For those of you who have that eye for talent or not let's be realistic about it.  If Riley and company feel he has what it takes to compete after some time in the program and help from the staff then they will accept his commitment if one is coming our way.

I mean Deontre Thomas was rated a three star and he is performing pretty well for us on the defensive line. All I am saying is we have had players come in who in highschool looked like the all conference players like Aaron Green, but at Nebraska had under performed and on the flip side we have had low ranked players like Lavonte David who ended up monsters in the program. I guess we will have to wait and see.

The people complaining that are complaining about his ranking..... their the same ones who throw a fit when we only go after top rated recruits and miss.   You can never win with some people.  If he commits, GREAT!!!!

Seems like this young man has his poop in group. Ivy league opportunities, Stanford and Wisconsin to boot. Seems quiet about his recruitment not starving for attention like some of our commits and potential commits. Coaches obviously see a fit in the program for David.

Part of me wants to troll you.  But every time I do I see Ruxin and picture your posts in Ruxin's voice and I just start laughing instead.

We are never going to be full of 4-stars & 5-stars. We have to get some 3 stars that are developed too.

It'd be nice if we could get to....

2 - 5*

40- 4*
43- 3*

50+ walk-ons.

As our roster make-up.

That would mean...

1 five star every 2/3 years.

8 4 stars every year.

8  3 stars every year.

10 walk-ons per year.
