Looking at the young depth at LB, I see it being tough to bring in a high profile LB. Only way it happens is if they don't care about competition or guaranteed playing time (gets rid of 90%) and they grew up a Nebraska fan (eliminates the other 10%).
Point is: dont hold your breath on guys with options like Williams.
I don't think it has much to do with our depth or lack of guaranteed playing time. Half or more of the teams in his top 16 have as good or arguably better LB's on their roster. His picks look more based on location other than Michigan.
Exactly. He's not leaving CA
Only 3 of his 16 are in CA. Unless you meant the West Coast, but that only includes 7 schools (Arizona St, Cal, UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Oregon St). With 9 of his 16 far away from the West Coast, I would say he is willing to move. He does have family in Georgia, so that could explain another 6 picks (Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Ole Miss, and Tenn). But if he wants to be near family, why pick Michigan, Oklahoma, or Oklahoma St?
I think we just did not do enough to bring this kid in.
