He doesn't now, but neither does Young. I'm basing my original prediction on Nick being able to play in the spring and Duval doing what he does best and add some good weight. 6'4" 215 (or whatever he is now) plus 15 lbs of good muscle will take care of that. I do agree that Hannah looks pretty darn good too. The future at linebacker is bright in Huskerland.
Have not attended any of Nicks games due to the state that I live in ; however I do know the current status of our roster and have a Degree in Exercise Science, so I have an idea what weight lifting and nutrition can do for an athlete. I just don't see the point of starting a player when we have a capable talent ahead of him. No matter what, Nick will be a special player at Nebraska.

Same but I do not expect him to redshirt.I would be shocked if he was starting day 1.
I don't either...I think redshirts are all but done except for maybe lineman and maybe a few specialists here and there. If a kid needs to redshirt you probably recruited the wrong kid and that is not a slight on anyone it is just about roster management.Same but I do not expect him to redshirt.
I don't agree with this. Alabama, Clemson, and all the top teams still have rosters littered with redshirt players of all positions.I don't either...I think redshirts are all but done except for maybe lineman and maybe a few specialists here and there. I agree that they ARE...I am saying that going forward I think it will be done. Kids will transfer more/faster than ever because they can play 4 games and because transfer rules (right now especially in basketball) are becoming very player friendly.I don't agree with this. I guess I don't put walk-ons in the group, but yes I agree on that.I think you will always have red shirts. Way to beneficial to get those guys for 5 years in a program. Ecspecially walk ons. Which Nebraska will have 20 every year.
That's possible. Basketball is way different with the one and done rule though so upperclassmen in general are harder to come by.I agree that they ARE...I am saying that going forward I think it will be done. Plus with BBall they have started to let dudes transfer and play immediately. I think that will start to happen with FB...but again...most of my life choices have been incorrect so this is probably wrong as well. That's possible. Ahhh there it is, the obligatory “This recruit will start from day 1!” post. It just isn’t a legit offseason without irrational over hyping of HS kids who have yet to step foot on campus.I would't be surprised to see Nick starting next season. He would have started alongside Mo this season IMO. Super excited to see this kid play for the huskers!!
Where did anyone say a recruit will start from day 1?Ahhh there it is, the obligatory “This recruit will start from day 1!” post. It just isn’t a legit offseason without irrational over hyping of HS kids who have yet to step foot on campus.
