That is some really odd defensive film.  I'm guessing his team was not good & he's the safety net.  He's basically playing MLB from 10 yards deep while balancing it with man coverage responsibilities.  It looks like something you'd see in youth ball.

Yeah, it sounds like he was kind of playing a hybrid linebacker/safety.  Apparently we like how he can play in space as an OLB.

I have not coached FB for like 4 seasons now, so I don't know any of these local players anymore...but from a few coaching friends I have heard that this kid is really really good.
