So your position is that, if the woman doesn't expressly say "yes, I will have sex with you", then it's rape?   It sounds like that's what you're getting at.  

btw,  Have you ever had sex with a woman?  Or a man for that matter?  Asking for a friend.

Consent doesn't necessarily have to be verbal, but consent must be given. Non-consensual sexual activity is literally the definition of sexual assault. This is nothing new.

Tell your friend that I have had a lot of consensual sex but I have never raped anyone.

 
I think Legrone's chances of being found not guilty are slim to none.  Definitely glad he's no longer a Husker as well ugh.

As for me, I can't say I've had consensual sex with a lot of different women.  But of the ones I've been with I don't recall any of them expressly saying "yes, I'll have sex with you" (or anything similar).  That just doesn't seem to happen in the moment.  But I do recall quite a few saying "no".  And we didn't.  (Admittedly, that's what happened more often than not.)  So it seems like saying "no" might be a bit different than not saying "yes".

So you're saying that for consent to take place it has to be verbal.  "Yes, let's have sex", or something to that effect.  Because that's what it sounds like you're saying.

What did the article say about Nebraska law?   I'm not familiar with the standard of law in Nebraska, so I'm going by what the attorney Hughes said in the Journal Star article that started this conversation.

She said LeGrone's accuser saw him come in the room while she and Hunt were having sex and didn't say "What's going on here? Hold on a minute. Stop.

"She has an obligation and a responsibility to do or say something to make the fact that she doesn't want to do this reasonably known to the person that's doing it. She has that responsibility and she didn't do that," Hughes said.

Did anyone actually read my post above that started this?  I'm guessing no, since Utly only plucked one sentence out of context to start an argument.  My point above was that, although I think LeGrone is a slimebag, and probably a sexual predator, it  looks like an issue that could possibly decide this case is that the victim didn't say "no".   That is all.  Good day sir.
