So many have called/wished/demanded/wished for Frost to stop calling plays and let his OC take on that duty. That he should be more involved CEOwise with the program, paying attention to details on defense and special teams as well.
SO, in the post game presser, Frost said he was too busy going over plays after the 3 and out to open the second half to not notice that only 10 guys trotted out on the punt that their punter ran(as someone put it in another thread) as if he was having a seizure for a first. Followed it up by saying said player was an additional "spy" to make sure the ball is kicked.
SECONDLY, he admitted that he was more focused on the next couple of plays and assumed the opening play was a lateral(which it probably was) to focus on challenging the call on the fumble. This would have made the head official watch the review as well not just the "guy upstairs".
Two instances in which not being the primary play caller probably helps his team.
I believe he can still be involved with the offense and still suggest plays, but let the primary calling go. He needs to be more available to "coach" guys up on the sideline and chew some a$$ when needed, which needs to be more often than not. I'm not wanting a Mike Riley like CEO, but a coach that is committed to the involvement/investment of his WHOLE team.
