My boss hates it when i'm on huskerboard. But, i just let my boss know how i feel and tell myself to f#*k off.Any boss not OK w/ that - is not OK w/ their employee being on Huskerboard first and foremost. At that point, the image is the least of that person's issues. For what it's worth, I saw the balloon you posted and appreciated it. It was photoshopped, and not an actual balloon, but it was nice.I understand why they took it down, though. Some bosses aren't understanding if they walk in and see that kind of thing. Best not to get members in trouble just for reading football threads.![]()
I'm not sure what you're missing from my post. Where I am going is that if there is a single person on this forum who could be negatively affected by a surprise half-naked photo or whatever you want to call it, then they shouldn't be allowed anywhere but designated areas. That one person is all that matters. Everyone else can survive by not having them on here.you say my "anecdotal" evidence of working for multiple companies that have rules prohibiting the use of social media and forums like Huskerboard doesn't matter...by stating your company also has security requirements preventing it... -- where you going with this one?Likewise? The problem is, your anecdotal evidence doesn't matter because you can look at those images all day, just somewhere else. The anecdotal evidence that matters here is the 1 person who gets in trouble or worse for accidentally having an inappropriate photo wind up on their monitor while the wrong person is walking by.^ likewise - and I'm guessing that you're evidence to the contrary is supported by an experience in a taxpayer funded job
I sometimes use my work computer while on lunch break. Never for Huskerboard because we have security requirements that prevent it, but I'm sure lots of people have jobs here that don't mind it being used for that during a break.
and I agree, lots of people probably do have jobs where they don't mind if their employees sit on forums all day. they're called government/state employees (and whoever employs cm husker - probably city gov.).![]()
