It is tough to get sacks against a team almost exclusively doing 3 step drop passing, which is what S.Alabama did. It truly is hard to do and they still had 2 sacks in the game. Miami by what they want to do will run more 5 and 7 step drops.
It is very hard to get sacks against a team with 2 QB's as mobile as Hill and Mangum. I mean think about the rest of our games this year. Is there a QB NU will face the rest of the regular season that is as mobile as those 2 were. Maybe S. MIss I have no idea about their QB. Nebraska still had 3 sacks in the game.
Brad Kaaya is a really good pro style QB, but he is not a runner nor do they want him to be. I hope they get about 3 sacks or so in the game.
I guess my point is that NU doesn't have the best DE for rushing the passer, this is correct, but there are things the other team does by personnel and or scheme that effects getting a good pass rush and sacks.
