Why is it ok for Bo Pelini to call me fair weathered fan and tell the fan base to fu*k off but, I can't call a departed player a sissy? This must be that PC culture Donald Trump has been talking about...

It's too bad Husker nation is too afraid to offend someone than to let them hear the truth. No wonder the millennial generation feels so entitled and views the world myopically

 
Well, I know that I paid, and worked in order to be able to attain a college education. The way I see it, student athletes are taken very well care of, and receive a quality education for free. Something most of them do not appreciate and take for granted. KW received a fabulous education from a tremendous university. He is no longer and the team, and it is upsetting to see someone who was given so much show a complete lack of appreciation and respect.

I played college hockey, but not for free. I know how hard it is to take a beating and show up to class. It was a dream come true for me. But I always knew that education was the only reason I was there. It is unfortunate that student athlete’s are imbued with a sense that athletics is the only thing that matters. It doesn’t considering that only 1% of players make it to the NFL. So how about allow people call it how it is, so that in the future, these entitled kids can know that life is more than just them. I understand that name calling is petulant and probably uncalled for. But I feel that having dialogue is healthy and promotes education.

Here on HB we are able to lock threads when people say things deemed inappropriate. I suspect the folks at UNL would have locked Pelini's mouth a few times—if they could have—when he said things deemed inappropriate.

Well, it was one of the many reasons he got fired by NU.

You doing this could be one of the reasons you get fired by Huskerboard.
