That's crap. Anyone paying attention at all knows the names and faces of the weakest olinemen. You need me to share, its Benhart and Corcoran. --

Also crap that no one criticizes the QB for poor line play. Oh... Martinez held the ball for 3 seconds... he should've gotten it out in 1.5 its all is his fault rings in the mouth of every Martinez basher there is (slight exaggeration.) - Martinez fumble was all his fault the should have known Corcoran was going to give him half a second on his blind side and thrown the ball away. "Martinez should have kept on the zone read and recognized that Benhart was getting pushed 3 yards into the backfield (again) when we tried to run to the right.

I don't know if you're simply trying to flip the script and play devils advocate with this post or not, but it is so far beyond the realm of reality that I feel as though I may be missing the sarcasm emoji in your post.

Nobody is saying 2AM was perfect and without flaws.

But, our O line stunk and just looking at their grades from experts proves that.  Another stat is that our QB was the most hurried and most sacked QB in the league and he's one of the most athletic.  That isn't just because he's holding onto the ball too long.

Here's a stat for ya. One metric that Football Outsiders tracks is Power Success Rate - the percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. Nebraska checks in at #80. Yeah, I don't think Martinez had much to do with that...

I’ve asked this multiple times but never get an answer.  What constitutes a hurry in these stats that get posted about the OLine?

An offensive line with an mobile QB is always going to have more hurries and sacks than a Brady/Marino type know where the ball is going and release it QB. 
Look no further than the Chiefs

The Chiefs’ offensive line can be made out to look worse than it is in pass protection because of the way Patrick Mahomes plays the position and the deeper drops he takes. In fact, a position-high 53 pressures were charged to Mahomes himself over the course of the regular season. It’s something that the Chiefs will gladly live with because of the plays that Mahomes can make and the way he avoids negative plays, but it’s something to keep in mind when evaluating the offensive line.

Being a mobile QB doesn't mean all of them take deeper drops than normal.  That is a stretch.

2 out of 5 ain't bad.

I do believe, in my heart, that there is a difference between holding onto the ball too long and the offensive line not holding their blocks.  Both happened a lot this year.   Martinez held on to the ball too long a lot for 4 years no matter who the linemen were.  I didn't collect stats or anything.  I just watched it a lot.

I don't think people are generally using it as an excuse for the linemen as much as HOLY s#!t ALLEN IS RUNNING WIDE OPEN AGAIN WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Yeah playing devil's advocate might just be a personality trait at this point.

What the eyeball test seems to tell me is that Martinez was coached to keep reading the field instead of just tucking it and running it after his freshman year.

There were quite a few times this season where I was like "Dude just run it, you've got open field ahead of you." Not sure whether that's purely on him, Verduzco, Frost, or a combination of all three.
