If Smothers and Nebraska win on Friday vs Iowa, what does that say for Martinez? What does that mean for next year? What will this fan base do or say if Martinez returns next year and is named the starter?

Yeah, all the time. He was more of the "throw first, run second" kind of QB like McKenzie Milton that you'd really prefer running this offensive system.

He could have done well, and we would have been more successful as a team even if he had just been QB2 all these years.
