I gave him a warning for his status update:

I was reading one of the "What Coach do you want" threads when the mods merged them. All of a sudden I was rereading posts from other threads. Mind= Blown. well played MODS.

This is not the first time he's called out the mods for doing their job. He should have been warned about this long ago. I didn't post-restrict him or suspend him, just a warning.

Regarding those threads he's talking about - there were four identical threads started within 20 minutes of each other, each one talking about Bo's potential replacement.

I know Eric would like to leave threads unmerged as much as possible, but this was an extreme case - and they're identical threads.

I do think there's one thing we could start doing when we merge threads, and that's PM the original authors to notify & link them to the merged threads so they know where it went. I never seem to remember this myself either though. IIf IP.Board could send out a notification automatically to everyone who posted in a thread once it's been merged that'd be really great.

Oddly, the four different authors of those threads were all people I've never seen on this board before. I doubt they'll notice or return - or if they do, it'll be under another user name.

Back to macroboy - he says I'm heavy-handed, but he explained his Status, and he apparently meant it as a compliment.

I don't know that I buy that, but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt - even though this isn't the first time he's called out mods - and I removed his warning. You can see the two entries in his warn history if you care to look.
