I'm at training for work so checking this guy out on my phone is next to impossible. Can someone see if this guy is C N Red or cm husker? If it's C N Red we may make that suspension permanent. I haven't seen all of his posts, just his status updates.

 
Making Chimichangas has two IP addresses, neither of which resolved to either C N Red or cm husker. The email has only one identifying trait - mercer - and it doesn't correlate to the emails for either C N or cm. While both C N and cm have a ton of IPs, the most common for each of them resolve to the West Coast for cm and Nebraska for C N Red. Making Chimichangas' two IPs resolve to Idaho. Thinking there's no connection.

 
Ha ha! The whole Chimichangas thing stems from a joke made by Knapp in the Shed. LINK A couple of posters took it to heart and ran with it.

I don't think it's either. There's no IP matches and he at least doesn't seem to share CM's political views. CN I remember less well. CN

Current best guess is maybe just another guy who gets abrasive with a keyboard. These aren't in short supply!

He's always claimed to be a previously non-Husker fan who has now become a Husker fan since he enrolled in Lincoln. I haven't seen anything to make me question that story.

Is that IP address for Huskernet the regular one that UNL students have? That's all I meant.

That I don't know. But it seems to be registered to the University so I would guess so.

Or are you saying someone else in the university other than a student?

 
I just brought it up because some did in the woodshed earlier and one of his status updates questioned what was acceptable on the board and what wasn't. Just seemed to be convenient timing is all.

I think he took exception to my deleting one of his posts. In it, he said something along the lines, "I'm not saying I condone assassinating the President-elect but I wouldn't mind it if it happened either." I'd prefer to take no chances with stuff like that.

I deleted this status update from MC and am inclined to give a suspension as it defames religious beliefs and threatens a standing POTUS.

I will wait to hear from anyone who would like to weigh in on this issue, but I would like to move quickly on this. Thoughts?

No issue on religion/defamation IMO. Suggesting people be executed -- that crosses a pretty serious line. Might bear a suspension.
