Mine is actually oak, with a dark walnut stain. I'm colorblind so it was pretty unlikely that I'd get the stain right. I just tried to get close. Plus I don't know wood so I can't tell what frame they used for the original. I wonder when the original was framed - I'm betting Menard's doesn't have that trim anymore. :lol:

 
Knapp, now you have to invent a machine that will slap it with a glove, along the bottom, about a zillion times... for the breaking in. Maybe a glove or piece of leather fastened to a power drill (!)

 
This is what I have made, it's 13" x 17". On game used turf, the All-Pro Turf from 1984-1991. With a Clydesdale horseshoe, painted and nailed into the turf and a thin piece of wood. With a silver metal frame. It turned out AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! HuskerFanArt on Facebook check them out.

I may have to make one for myself, to hang in my office. But I'd need to hang it on the door going into my office. So I could touch it on the way in. Sadly, my field of play these days is my office desk.

 
Kinda late to the game. There used to be a Clydesdale outfit between Lincoln and Denton; but it was a number of years ago ???? Don't remember now if it was on "O" or the road south of O that goes into Denton? Don't have dementia yet but I'm gettin' there.

Love the look Knapp. Actually they all look pretty darn good.

Zombie thread, fellas. It's been quite some time. I ended up messing up on the original shoe a few years back and never finished. A few years later, my budget is a tad better, so here is the finished product. Thanks to HuskerJock and Knapp for the recommendation of the horseshoe shop out of Michigan.

Where did you get the frame at? What's it made out of. I took my horseshoe out of mine and want it too look similar to this.

 
That looks really good, Maudfather! I'd like to know how you made the frame too.

I still have two of those horse shoes in my garage. I need to finish those, because I gave the first two away.
