I have to stand up and applaud this guy for being the ONLY analyst in America that I have seen so far to call Notre Dame out.

If anyone is wondering what I mean, during the pregame show for the VA Tech vs. Maryland game tonight, Mark May literally tore into Notre Dame and how they get treated SO favorably in the polls. With statements like "just because they are Notre Dame (insert hand gesture to note sarcasim as if that meant a whole lot to him) they only drop two places in the polls. If that had been anyone else, they would have dropped considerably."

Bravo Mark May. Most of the time I consider you an idiot on a mission, but for once, you were preaching to the choir here at least. Bravo for finally taking a stand against all these idiots who have their heads so far up Notre Dame's rear they cannot tell if it's day or night.

Same can be said about Nebraska playing for the NC a few years ago. To get crushed by CU, don't get in the Big 12 title game yet we end up in the Fiesta Bowl against Miami. See what I mean?

Actually it was the Rose Bowl. But I did see the pregame show in which May made that comment. I was glad he said that. They never even dropped and if it had been anyone else they would have dropped four spaces.

Yes indeed it was the Rose Bowl. Sorry I was stuck in 1995 there for a moment! I also agree with May. ND will always get some type of special treatment!

Yeah, and NU slid in the backdoor because OU, UT, TU, and one other team I can't recall at the moment all lost in the last week.

That happens all the time. The pollsters get, well, let's say overly excited for a couple teams every year.

Not sure if anyone cares or not, but I think it was LSU.

Nope, LSU knocked off Tennessee to send NU to the Rose Bowl.

May went off about Notre Dame last Saturday too. Hotlz and the host (name?) were whining that he wasn't being fair (oh WAAAHHH) but May held ground. I too applauded, Willie. never thought i'd actually like something May had to say.

Its kind of sad when we must now look to Mark May as being a voice of sanity at ESPN.

:bang

now if we can only get an announcer with some guts to call out and expose the entire Big 10.

I remember last week when Lou Holtz made a comment about how USC may have won the game but ND sure didn't lose it. Where were these comments about us after the Tech game. Wasn't it a very similar situation? These guys make comments all the time about how they know what they're talking about because they watch the games every week. Does anyone else think that's a bunch of BS?

Thank you. It's about time someone said it. The Big 10 is wholly overrated. Let's hear someone talk about that for once on National Television!
