This isn't surprising.  I've never understood the hatred for him with some fans.  He helped bring back the coach that 99% of the fans wanted.  Then, almost instantly, fans didn't like him.

Because Davison was part of the problem of why Frost wasn't successful at NU.  They were more interested in partying at Gate 25 then they were about running a successful football program.

He'll remain on the football radio calls at least through the rest of the season, but to say this isn't a shock would be an understatement. Part of me wonders just what percentage this is his decision.

ABM intends to cease operations at the end of 2022. It has been headed by Gerrod Lambrecht, the former Nebraska football chief of staff under former head coach Scott Frost.

When Frost was dismissed Sept. 11, Davison said he at that point knew ABM “was going to wind down operations by the end of the year.”

That's the first official news of ABM shutting down.  But as Matt says the writing was on the wall the day Frost was fired.

It's basically just a change in name and slight operational change.  Instead of Lambrecht being the Frost cronie running the NIL, it will be Peed and Davison left as the Frost running-buddies running this out of Lincoln.
