*** Matt Rhule Hired as New Husker Head Coach ***

Rhule is going to be a great politician if he wants to be, not that I think he would, and I'm saying that in a good way. A head coach at this size of operation is a politician at times. Every time you hear him speak, though, he just knows how to speak to that audience.

It's a good speech and I ran through 3 brick walls after watching it.

I think he's tried, we had Rouse until OU went all in with the NIL deal. OL is just hard to address in the portal, fewer guys in there and everyone wants them. I agree Rhule hasn't succeeded, but it's hard to knock him for it because I think he tried. I do also think there's some solid talent here if he can unlock it, but I think upgrading was a priority and we just struck out.

Only the top schools can upgrade OL through the portal, as you said there are only like 5 sure fire starters each cycle.  We must develop HS OL, (and DL), in house if we ever want to be good again, period.

 
Shoulda let Rhule in the ring to cut a promo on all the other B1G coaches

Herbstreit has said this about literally every new coach we've had since he's been a commentator. I appreciate the optimism but it's worth...well, less than it ever was, and it was never worth anything lol.
