I have no problem with this since Holgorsen and Shorts will be here to mentor him.  We have no limits on coaches, so it's not like he's taking a position away from anyone.

Yeah, if we are paying people anyways, might as well make them useful. Even if that just means Garret is taking coffee orders and running to the Mill. Walking dogs, picking the kids up from school, etc.

Garret has shown himself to be a good recruiter already. Holgo has also spoken well of the Offensive coaches, including McGuire; if Holgo didn’t want McGuire, he wouldn’t be here. Seems like McGuire runs good drills and practice, but needs to get seasoned in being a managing the in game effort. If Holgo thinks he adds value and he plus the new WR coach can develop McGuire then why is everyone complaining?

Someone- either CornCrazed Connor Hayden or Adam Carricker recently told a story about McGuire yelling at some receiver during drills- I believe, in this version of the story, that Holgo had to take him aside and get him to stop doing that.

Is he on a year to year contract or will TT have to buy him from us? If true and they do, that is a very savy business deal.
