Media Bias

The only way you can be objective for a change is to openly welcome people with opposing views and be willing to listen to them and try to understand. That doesn’t mean you have to agree.

We all come from different life experiences to formulate our views.

The problem is that America only wants to listen to people that agrees with them. That includes the media they pay attention to.  When a network like Fox brings in their token lib, it’s always presented as, “they are the funny crazy one for humor”….instead of having an honest discussion with them.

That also includes the friends we have. We may have close friends that have different views, but we just ignore those topics instead of actually having those discussions.

Agree with this completely. I appreciate your statement about not having to agree.

In regards to your last statement, I think your comment about not having to agree informs the other. While I love a good and polite debate, that can end sometimes even end w/o anything new being learned, too many people can't handle even polite discourse and  can't compartmentalize the people from the messages (I disagree with you, therefore your argument has no merit or is totally wrong, and it has to mean I won't like you.)

Its also difficult to have short, one-liner conversations over media like text or message boards. ;)

Musk buying MSNBC, with Rogan as an anchor ... :cowbell:

He really has something in him about wanting to be a woman. I wonder if that not very well hidden desire informs any of his views.

The funny thing about the dragon thing is it's just like to cover up that Jordan Peterson is a complete moron who thinks fire is a predator so dragons are real. A lot of their "trolling" is like haha look I'm so stupid. Really owned the libs with that one.

Wow....so since Stephenoupolussewjsggds  says "rape" instead of "sexual assault", Trumpers get to waive this banner as proof that the media is a bunch of no good liars....

Devo, I don't think you necessarily putting that message on this, but I guarantee a lot of MAGA folks will put this feather in their cap.

I was not aware of the defamation suit until I saw this tweet. I was aware of the 60 Minutes flap...but that is CBS.

The settlement/verdict follows numerous "legal" apologies (not necessarily about Trump) from the ABC progrom the View.

I do think that a lot of the broadcast Media say or broadcast things that are not the proven fact, and then walk it back when called on it. Perhaps this outcome will curtail that, and make the news more factual, which benefits everyone.
