Michigan State: What did we learn?

I feel like the NU offense has been statistically good each year under Frost but it is just scoring points that is the issue.
Very true- that's why we are consistently ranked 100+ in Red Zone Efficiency

Lots or people point to the yards when judging NU offense or AM. Unfortunately the wins and losses are the only thing that really count for anything. We could average 600 yards per game this year and end up 4-8.

I would much rather we put up 350 yards per game and end up 7-5.

Of course. But to do that it's not just about red zone scoring efficiency, it almost always entails having really good special teams (especially if we're talking about the B1G).

But then there's the other side of that coin as well: Even if your special teams put you in a spot where you're dominating your opponent in average starting field position, if your line can't block and your athletes can't make the plays in the red zone then it doesn't matter.

We are struggling in both areas, and that's why we're a 2-3 team when we should really be 3-2 and probably 4-1 right now.
