That attitude is completely foreign to me.
If Nebraska fired me and I had $3,000,000 guaranteed for 4 years, that would have no bearing on what I would ask from my next employer. Why should it?
Not sure you're reading the context of my post correctly. If I was Riley I'd want a fair salary from OSU, but I most certainly wouldn't be worried about saving Nebraska any money in the process. If anything I'd take the low end of a "fair" salary so they could put that money towards the salary pool for the rest of the OSU assistants on staff.
