Mike Riley's Staff

Having time to reflect if we do get coach O I will be good with this hire. If we get Frost as OC i will be elated. Could be Riley was the only coach willing to take the job knowing frost was coming in and be a coach in waiting
Not in this short of time frame. Stanley's mom has said that they already had a coach several days ago. This guy has turned down Alabama before Saban and USC. He is highly regarded in the coaching circle. My guess is that he was our #1.

Orgeron says he would be interested. Let's make it happen
What does he bring to the table?
Easily a top 5 recruiter in the entire country. Will bring in 4-5 star talent consistently
I swear I've seen this somewhere before. As for Frost, apparently one of the radio stations in Lincoln has said that Scott is extremely disappointed and would not be part of this staff. Not sure if true.
Exactly. The last recruiter at NU that had the recruiting ability of Orgeron is John Blake.
Exactly

Orgeron would be an absolute home run assistant. I had the pleasure of listening to him speak this past spring during the coaching clinic at Nebraska. He outlined what he did as the interim coach at USC. Very much like Riley seems to be, he is a people person with a great relationship with everyone involved in the program. From parents to players, to student assistants and other coaches he treated everyone equally and made them feel important. I knew he was a solid coach and recruiter before then, but after meeting with him and listening to him speak I was hoping Pelini could find a way to bring him on staff.

I am looking forward to the days of ahead. I am a Nebraska fan, no matter who the coach is and can't wait to see what Coach Riley can do at this awesome University. Go Big Red!

I certainly hope Riley brings Mike Cavanaugh (OL coach) with him. Fantastic offensive line coach.

Also would not mind if he brought Brent Brennan (WR coach) with him. Brennan has coached Brandin Cooks, Markus Wheaton, and James Rodgers just in his 3 seasons he has spent at OSU. Incredibly impressive in a short period of time.
