Minor Issue, But...

For forums with only a single category under them, such as Husker Football or Classifieds, the opening page displays a round, red button with the letters HB in white, when there are unread posts. When there are no unread posts, then that changes to a grey button.

I've noticed that for forums with multiple categories, such as Recruiting, More Sports, and Planet Husker, the icon always remains grey - even if there are unread posts in any of the categories. However, the categories with unread posts have the common round, red button with the letters HB in white. Any idea what's causing that, or how to fix it? Not a major issue, but...

Now, let me also mention that for the last few days I've been having to view the forum on my test computer due to a crash of my main workstation. It's running Windows Vista RC1 with IE 7.0. So, the problem may be on my end - but I seem to recall this being the case even before my old workstation went down.

Nope, youre exactly right. When I added the subforums, I was forced to either convert the main forums to a "category", which gives it the same characteristics as our "husker sports" & "other stuff" cats - OR keep them as "forums" themselves, which means ppl could post in the main forum instead of being forced to compartmentalize (big word huh) them into the right subforum. so yeah that kinda sucks w/out the 'new posts' image, but not sure theres a way around it..
