Murray is a great one alright. But he is fragile. It may be best if he just stays safely on the sidelines and watches the big boys play.

he will be lucky to be 80% and carry more than 10 times in this game...he will basically be ineffective in the 2nd half.

I think this will be a defensive show-down as well, which is a little scary. We've been OK overall, but tend to give up a few big plays, which makes our offense assume the fetal position and quit, though that has improved over the last 2 games.

Like I said, I still can't quite believe it worked out like this for the last CCG, the fact that both coaches come from Youngstown, OH, and are long-time friends, and the mutual respect our teams have shared in the past just makes it even better.

I have a hard time believing this is the only time DM's receiving skills have been mentioned in this thread (and maybe any other thread about the Nebraska-Oklahoma game). It's his ability to catch passes out of the backfield that sets Murray apart, and that could definitely spell trouble for our D, especially if he gets Compton one-on-one. No doubt DM is a powerful runner, but combine that with his impact on OU's aerial attack, and Nebraska will have their hands full. Even with Murray at 80%, it will take all the Blackshirts have to slow down this offense.

Most likely they'll have David shadowing Murray, not Compton.

True. That's why I said "if".

I have no doubt David will do a solid job shadowing DM, but it only takes one missed assignment (or in Nebraska's case, one missed illegal pick by an OU WR) for Murray to bust loose and find paydirt.

 
meh i dont care who we play at qb injuries should never be an excuse not at any position. If we lose its because OU was better than us........

or the big 12 is out to get us OH YEAH!

 
Glad he wil play I want both teams at there best, I only hope he doesn't reinjury it he seems like a good kid and I would hate to see the injury become more serious
