My Apology to the OU fans infront of me

It's easy for us to tell NevrSkered what he should've done from behind our computer screens..

I'm Large enough I probably could've walked the guy up and threw him over the top of the stadium..But I wouldn't have..and I wouldn't have felt comfortable tattling on him either...

Good job on entertaining our Sooner Buddies.. :worship

Im not small at all and I played defensive end in HS. The downfall is I was born legally blind in my left eye. If some how he got a good shot on my right eye... I would be blind the rest of my life. So you can see when I balance my options it was an easy decision.

And it didn't ruin the game for me. I was just so embarrassed how he represented us. (not to mention scared the best looking girl in the section, who was sitting next to him out of the game after the first half)

Husker fans should have brought in security and had him tossed, there is no room for this crap, here or anywhere else. If you pay for a ticket, you shouldn't have to take harassment from other fans.

I would have been hesitant to confront him cause guys like that are usually just looking for trouble and getting into a scuffle would more than likely mean you both get tossed and they sort the details out later. I wouldn't have wanted to miss the game. I had something similar in Lawrence in 03 with a bunch of drunks showing up at halftime. I didn't want to miss our win on that chilly day in November...

It may sound crazy but sometimes you have to feel sorry for the jerks. I have seen plenty of nice, honest, fun people turn into complete blowhards after they've been drinking too much and placed in an exciting atmosphere. If you think about it, perhaps that drunk guy is kicking himself now that he's sobered down. He probably won't even remember the experiance.

you do not have to get out of your seat now just text the guys seat number there is a phone # on a sign the video guys will tune right in the fan and get close with stadium people qietly observe him and he will be dealt with the guy was probably drunk too!

I'm all for individual freedoms and stuff but this is part of the reason games in Lincoln are the best! That no alcohol policy keeps the game polite and fun usually. Chiefs games....there's always a douche in the opposing team's jersey taunting every fan around him...course the drunks are entertaining to watch this season since the chiefs are so bad.

At that point it's time to find a security person and inform them of the guy's behavior. Include that it has turned into harassment and what could easily be deemed as threats. Believe me, they do not take that sh#t lightly and your problem will be quickly solved.
:yeah

As Nebraska fans we should not tolerate such things. Especially from our own fans. They announce the security number several times during the game, you can call it on your cell phone. Thats what they are there for.

There was a loud, extremely drunk and possibly high Husker fan behind me. Two times in the first half he fell into me and the guy standing next to me, the second time I almost knocked over a 7-8 year old kid in front of me standing on the bleachers.

He was badly slurring his sentences and wasn't making any sense, along with yelling "SUCK!" about every five seconds (not even in reaction to anything in particular) and making annoying HIGH pitched noises for no apparent reason. He wasn't really being mean to anyone, so I think everyone sort of just let it slide, but it was incredibly annoying nonetheless. Luckily by mid-way through the second quarter he was pretty much out of it, and he left near halftime and didn't return.

As far as your situation, I would have gone straight to security after he pulled you down. It wouldn't have been worth getting in a fist fight and missing the game yourself. Security would remove him pretty quickly if he continued with any of it. It's one thing to be a loud drunk fan, but it sounds like this guy crossed the line.

:rant

My friend and I sold our 2 tickets and told our other friend we would buy his beer with the $$ if he hosted us.(his dad owns around 10-15 seats?) anyways... We got the last pick from everyone who goes to this guy for their tickets and it happened to be on the outside Club house Section 222 I believe. We got to our seats and I noticed 4 OU fans in front of me. I started talking to them and we were joking around, the guy wanted to bet the shirts off our back--a tradition he has kept since the 2001 game vs FSU. I declined, it was a bit too chilly for me to surrender my sweatshirt and I had 0 confidence in our ability to get a TD let alone a first down...

We had a great time, discussing football and our love that we had to hate each other. He was impressed with how much I knew ... and then the piece of sh#t came and sat right behind me.

This larger fellow sat behind us. Right away he saw the OU fans and said "OU bitches sit the f#*k down" "Sit down pu&&y Sooner fu#*$" .. when OU had a big play these guys would clap and this guy would just yell at the top of his lungs profanities. I mean there were children, wives, and younger people in this entire section. I even stood up on the big run we had this guy grabbed me by the back and sat me down. I just wanted to climb into his row and destroy his face.

He kept throwing sh#t all over the OU fans. I mean at first I could tell they were having fun with him but then he just kept egging it and egging it. This guy didn't care he was at the game The loud mouth told me to f#*k with them and that he had my back... I mumbled "ill f'ing help them kick your a$$"

Im all for joking around with them, but this guy took it was beyond messing around. He was out right rude and embarrassed everyone in the entire section. If there was a security guard in the club house I would have gladly went to tell on this POS...

Now I know a lot of people post things like this and I never really read them, But I am only 21... I would have gladly said something but I was waiting for the leadership of some of the Gray hairs in the area. I could tell they were pissed as I was at this guy but they wouldn't say anything. I just want any gray hairs out there some of us young guys have your back, just set jackasses like this in their place.

Thankfully the OU fans said they had been having a good time and that this was the best game experiences they have ever had... I left with a minute left and Apologized for the jacka$$( they said there is one at every game) and told them to have a safe drive.

On that note GBR
you should have sent the text to the LPD... that is what it is there for. Fat azz grimace looking jack smoker!! I hate those fans... show respect, and people will follow!

You need to report him to the ticket office, they will yank his tickets for doing something like that! Get your stub, and be EXACT with your complaint... he will lose his seats to a much more deserving fan!

I have had more than my fair share of alcohol in my life and this type of thinking always bothers me. While it's true some people are better able to control themselves while drinking, people who drink and turn into complete asses know it. Even if they don't remember they will hear about it from friends. So in the end, if you know you turn into a shithead when you drink, then don't f'ing drink. If you know you turn into a shithead when you drink in certain situations, then don't drink in those situations. How drunk you are isn't an excuse for anything. When you're drunk and beat the sh#t out of somebody, do you still go to jail? Why yes, yes you do.
