I originally started a different post about Curry and how great of a shooter he is.
Then I looked at this year's stats. He was #59 in the NBA this year in 3-point percentage. I was pretty shocked by that. Now, his average distance probably leads the league. But that means he's probably taking a lot of not-very-good shots. But he takes so many there's always plenty for the highlights.
Curry had an unusually bad 3 pt. percentage this season, but still has an impressive percentage for his career, especially for a volume shooter. Except for a couple games he was ice in the playoffs, and especially the finals against the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year.
Take away the three pointers and watch a highlight reel of Curry's drives and finishes and the much taller players he leaves flailing. He's a shooter, but he's also a competitor in the mode of both Jordan and Kobe.
