Nebraska is last in penalties

To quote Alex Lewis:

"I'm sorry, we suck".

I don't think they suck, but hell, he said it and he knows better than I do so to hell with em' they suck then.

I know one thing, they sure as hell aren't very good. A lot of it looks like an attitude issue too. Lot's of guys that don't look like they try all that hard to break a tackle or make a play. So yeah, I'd say that definitely sucks.

To give credit where it is due, we also have guys that look like their working their asses off out there. It's pretty obvious, go back and watch the game. I'll make some gifs when I can find a link. Some guys working hard and making plays, other guys laying down. We really need to get some of these guys off the field.

Meh...We had the same issues with Bo.
Except last year we only averaged 5.77 penalties a game and had 75 penalties all season, ranked 53rd. Not defending Bo, he needed to go, but to be dead last in penalties with an experienced staff shouldn't happen. Except when you look at this staff's history and realize their teams are always highly penalized

And he was a .536 coach.......

Had a management training years ago. Hired some company to help set up employee evaluations. We wants to set the bar ar "X" and he asked why so low. He explains most people will seek to meet expectations while some will go above and a few will fall below. BUT by setting expectations high, even the lowest performing will meet a reasonably high level of performance. See Riley was/is a mediocre coach. He accepts mediocrity as evidenced by his staff, the penalties, play calling and press conferences about trying to figure things out. He looks dumb founded. IMO, he did not realize this fan base was as rabid and knowledgeable as it is. That mediocrity and "moral victories" we're awesome for OSU, but that boat won't float here. I really think he is in over his head regarding his abilities meshing with the goals of the University, team, state and fans. The bar is set so low, guys are meeting the craptastic level of expectations he has set.......

Isn't it sad that every time you have to dispute one of the erroneous claims against the former staff you have to tag it with you're glad he's gone and don't want him back.

This is what we've become.

Smdh.

It's like when I would criticize Bo and people responded with, "Well do you want Callahan!?". Some posters don't seem to understand that there's more coaches out there than Riley, Callahan and Bo. We deserve a better coach here.
