Nebraska rep getting tarnished

Just this Horn fan's opinion... I have heard about NU fans' exemplary sportsmanship for years. I was fotunate to witness a game in one of the sports' great venues when I went to Lincoln in 2007. The fans were awesome, even after Texas won; they were passionate and vocal with me but gracious and good-natured. I left convinced of the truth of Nebraska fans' great reputation. Unfortunately, a reputation that was decades in the making has been tarnished in the course of one week. I don't fault people for letting the emotions of a near monumental upset cause them to lash out a bit. I DO have a problem with the coaches' comments, now that a week has gone by. The Pelini bros. owe our team and coaches an apology...we won fair and square. And these accusations of a bias towards Texas, quite frankly sound like the rantings of the always-inferior-feeling aggies or perhaps Razorbacks! Simply not befitting a school withe pride and tradition of NU!

What the hell do you know about sportsmanship? Your a f'ing Longhorns fan!!!

You want an apology.............how about you...........................GO SCREW YOURSELF!!! :hookerhorns

I agree that Nebraska fans rep is being tarnished... but not by the coach. The coach isnt a reflection of the fans. They are their own reflection and if at this point, you still can let it go and you continue to complain and make an a$$ out of yourself and of other Husker fans, I'd kindly ask you to consider rooting for another team. Im tired of being lumped in with a bunch of crybabies and whiners that seem to be a growing minority of Husker fans.

trust me...I'd be more pissed if our coaches just skipped off the field saying "oh diddly dee...we almost won!"

Our coaches were right there in the moment where emotion takes over.

Get off your high horse!

I'm sure we'd be singing the praises of texas fans and how gracious they are despite losing on here and longhorn message boards would be spewing of rainbows and puppies if the tables had been turned.

Oh wait, no, none of that would've happened. You'd be just as pissed and you'd be complaining nonstop and Mack would've whined until next season. So just....stop.

Bingo. I would honestly like to see the Texas board if they were in our shoes. Talk about sportsmanship. I also agree its time to let it go. But OP, what are you accomplishing?

You're not helping your case by coming to a Husker fan site. If the roles were reversed you might see it from our perspective as well.

Another thing too is that whatever the coaches have done or said is out of the fans hands. So again, there is nothing as a fan that I can do or say to you that will make your perception of us go away.

Just saying...

You really, really really need to take a look at the history of Texas in the Big XII before speaking about something like this.

Frankly, you owe us an apology for a post like this in light of how the Big XII has catered toward Texas over the years.

You could not sound more arrogant, childish, and uninformed than you do right now. And I'm one of the more pro-Texas people on this board.

This post is more deserving of a facepalm than many I've read in many a year....
