Nebraskas Schedule

I notice in several other posts people have mentioned how the playing every week thus far this season hasnt given any of our players who are banged up a chance to rest and get better ( LB's and DB's) but with our game against Colorado being on every friday after Turkey Day we will have the exact same situation every year with our only bye week coming the week prior to our matchup with Colorado....Does anyone else see this as a problem or is this not a big deal??

It is what most teams have to deal with. Odds are that as time goes on that last game vs CU may become, once again, the game for the north. So having that the game to have the bye before might be a good thing.

We were getting two bye weeks until this season when we added the 12th game. It wouldn't surprise me if sometime in the next couple of years if the season started a week earlier to give everyone the extra bye week back.

 
I think maybe Nebraska should scehdule a non confrence opponet mid season someone they can beat up on pretty good and really give the players a chance to rest once we have a comfortable lead....i notice theres a couple other schools playing non conf games this time a yr.

The big12 office sets the conf sched. I belive the majority of the coachs want a midseason nonconference game. SO hopefully that can be aranged.

 
A midseason non conference game would be nice. Let the guys get healed. It's good that the bye is coming up though. This 12 game schedule has hurt us a little bit this season.

 
that would be nice.. i say we have the division 2 team first.. always... Just that gaurentee win at the beginning of the year , but we should def. sechedule a gimme in the middle of the year , just incase were on a losing streak and need confidence

 
I believe in 2008 the calender sets up so that their is an extra Saturday between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. That will allow us to schedule a bye week for a few years.
