The refs put Trey in a terrible position on that play. He must have barely clipped the Wisconsin player's foot and the ref didn't blow the whistle until he lost his balance; they had each gone like 25 feet after the trip (not totally sure he actually clipped him I need to see the play again) and he began to take off for the layup. Trey and the Wisconsin player both kind of let up mid jump and clearly got him in the face when he brought his arms down instead of going for what would be a block attempt. I doubt it was intentional, but it was a hard hit that caught his face.

 
So, does this indicate Fred used some NIL finding to persuade the officials to ‘Ref fairly’ while Wiscy followed their usual policy of allowing Big Ten officiating to carryon as usual?   
 

easy to suspend them now that season is over!  Lol.  

 
About the technical foul on Trey,…. had that been Bryce making the play, he would’ve blocked the shot, not the guy’s noggin.

 
I can see it now Nebraska goes on a unprecedented run and wins the B1G tournament. Gets invited to the dance and T wins its first 4 games, but here is where things really get weird. Fred lands a top 5 recruiting class and wins the whole tournament next season.
