I have FIOS yada why does You tube and other video keep buffering/loading when the whole vid isn't much more than my download speed, i think :dunno

anyway does it have to do with virus/firewall issues???

run a quad 6600 4g ram 1066 win 7 64

g data virus

kinda pisses me off that when I had slower connections it never really did that just kinda played along with the download now it pauses with that circley thingie spinning around.

I think it's probably that your connection speed is actually much higher than your 'download speed' capabilities. Try downloading a large file and see what the mb/s is. Youtube videos - especially now that they are high quality - can easily run over 100 mb.

I don't know why it pauses now compared to before though...weird...I would say the slowdown is just the browser processing the flash and everything, but that doesn't explain why it was faster before.

Not a guru, but wouldn't download speed on YouTube be a shared situation between your d/l speed and their server capacities? So if you're looking at a video that 10,000 other people are viewing at the same time, I think that would factor into the d/l time.

ibc i b clueless :horns2

I have noted that chrome does seem to play better and don't know if 64 is loaded or 32 is?

I just like the friendlier way I can navigate with firefox :dunno but I can change if I can find the most trouble free one

20 download 5 upload and 35ms ping

I've tried to download the flash player but it doesn't like the 64 system so it won't download when it does it give me a *.xpi file that isn't recognized. :ahhhhhhhh

update: safari seems to work ok just don't have any bookmarks in it since it's like the second time I opened it.

just seems like ie and firefox are the ones so prolly the flash player is the culprit ???
