Netflix & streaming video stuff worth watching

Just yesterday "Rip" said there are two more seasons of Yellowstone in the works.
Hopefully they’re better than this current season. It’s kind of losing me. The governor who is never actually being a governor. Jamie who gets played by any skirt and easily does things that he should know will get him killed. Beth being more Beth. The stupid Summer PETA/hippie/activist storyline and the constant whining about how impossible it is to be a rancher (as you have your own helicopter, hundreds of thousands acres of land and an endless fleet of $100k+ trucks)…are we supposed to feel sorry for John Dutton’s plight

Yeah, what is the deal with that hippie storyline?  It literally adds nothing.

The Pale Blue Eye movie on Netflix is pretty good. A little different gothic thriller murder mystery set at West Point in the early 1800s. Starring Christian Bale. Has some nice little twists and turns. The story involves Edgar Allen Poe who coincidentally did attend the Military Academy in the time period involved. It’s worth a couple hours of your time.

The Last of Us is still awesome.

It's amazing how so much of the detail is precise to the game.  When they walk into a new room I'm like "oh yeah I remember this map".  Every last detail is there.

Bill's town was much more intense in the game.  I was disappointed they didn't have some of those amazing action sequences.  That's where I really fell in love with the game.  Also disappointed Bill and Ellie didn't get to meet.  Beyond that the show has been great!  The casting has been on point.

This is interesting. I was just thinking after watching eps 4&5 how much it didn’t seem like a game. It just seems like a well made and acted series…of course I never played the game so I have no clue on that front.

Wednesday ended up being worth it. Fun little short series. Jenna Ortega kills it.

I just finished this over the weekend. Really good, well-made show. I'm glad they're doing more seasons.

They need to have more screen time for Catherine Zeta-Jones. She kills it as Morticia.

Zeta-Jones must have gotten a new agent or something. I haven't seen her do anything for years, but now she pops up on two new series. Wednesday is very clever and entertaining. CZJ is also the bad guy in a new National Treasure series on Disney+. However, that show is terrible. My family loves the National Treasure movies, but we only watched a couple episodes of the new series. It is garbage.

Disney has been trying to shoehorn too many of its profitable franchises into lackluster series for their streaming service. Willow sucks. The Marvel and Star Wars content is hit or miss. Every new Simpsons short is an abomination of sadness.
