Perhaps I'm just paranoid with the Flu going around but I notice our newest member is Bones38. I'm fairly certain that there was another new account in the last couple days that also ended in 38. Can't remember the exact user name now but if someone else does it might be worth a look. Just seemed like an odd coincidence.

 
I checked the member list by join date and there isn't anyone with "38" for the last month.

Keep this account in mind, though. Those Spidey Senses tingle for a reason.




I notice you visit the profile page of most new members. Was it an email address?

 
No, it's on the list you linked to. The third account is HUSKERFOREVER38.

Probably just a coincidence but it caught my eye.

 
Bones38 IP resolves to Omaha. HuskerForever38 resolves to Minnesota. Different email addresses as well. Neither account has used the IP of the other account.

 
Bones38 is a former member, NUBackInBlack38, Andrew Mantzaris, a UNO grad. He's probably either forgot his login or just wanted a different name. He hasn't posted as NUBackInBlack38 for years.

But good eye, Mav. I missed those 38's.

Is it odd that HUSKERFOREVER38's IP resolves to a Verizon address that also belongs to a post by PaulCrewe?

Edit: tried to link to the list of posts by IP but it didn't cooperate

IP resolves to Minneapolis. He has three IPs listed in the Control Panel, and they are all in the 170.198.X.X range. Anyone have any background on Crewe; is he in that area?

 
PaulCrewe lives here in Lincoln.

I would suspect that at least one new member per week will be FLU. I'll try to check them as I have time, but I've been really busy with work lately, and my weekends aren't much better.
