I hope you are correct.  That is not only the speculation (Butler) on the board , but by at least 75% of the "insiders"  (Sherman, Christopherson, Verghese) who appear on Hail Varsity radio on 590.... most guests, including the hosts believe that Butler is the next man.  They obviously don't know, but I guarantee they know more than I do and most of the posters on HB

Me too.  I heard that was JB's intent was to take a position on the staff to eventually get the reins to take over the defense.  I don't know how true that is but I will say he was spung into the fire bc EC leaving.  Don't know if he had time to mesh with the players and or coaches well enough to be successful bc usually it takes time to gel.
