Betting dimes to doughnuts that @Brooks Hatlen is a banned member. Just joined to day but has already found his way into the 'Shed and is +1ing Junior's ongoing pissing contest with 1995 Redux (carlefense and sd'sker are also running up the +1s).

He only has one actual post but someone to keep an eye on.

 
Interesting username. That was the name of the character that committed suicide in The Shawshank Redemption. That seems more like Polo's style.

 
He's almost certainly one of the banned posters -- hence, he has it already.

Check out new membership. In the offseason we will average maybe 1 new member a day. Clearly there is a spike in the past four days.

Hey, sorry, I took down the link. DaveH obscured the location of the adminCP directly so I guess it makes sense we'd try to keep that link off any area in the board posts -- it can only be served via the template code to those who have access. Screenshot next time?

I don't know how big a deal this is, just thought we'd play it safe.

Brooks is using the same IP as Rike Miley, who used to be...Po Belini. I don't recall if he is a friend or relative to any of the banned - but like Abdullah and Roto, Rike Miley is posting through a router. He's registered more than 90 IP addresses. Oddly enough, both Brooks and Tearfrogs show only two IPs to each user. That's not Abdullah's or Roto's MO, which makes me suspect that both are socks for some other of the banned.

And yeah, Mav, you're right. And isn't it odd that Junior and SD and the others stick around? They have a shiny new board to play with, but here they are. That's one of the reasons I suspect that HLR is not going to survive. Or rather, it could survive but never be a large community. That, and as someone noted (NUance?), it's fueled through hatred of Huskerboard. Don't see that as an enticing combination for luring in new members.

I see that, AR, but I believe it's just cellular data.

They both apparently use Sprint PCS for their cell phone provider.

This seems like the biggest reason for both a lot of different registered IP addresses, the occasional sharing of an IP between different members.
