Hello.

I first want to say that I really appreciate the insight that you have brought our members . Hell, I have been anxiously awaiting your next posts to see what is on the horizon.

I have a question about NURETURNTOGLORY.COM.

Is this a message board? If so we cant have it in your sig. It is against our policy to have members promote other Husker message boards in their sig.

Im not trying to be an a$$ because you have provided so much. I just have to do my job and enforce our rules.

This is no competition and it's a fun site and I do it myself so it's very primitive.

Couple of thoughts on "I Bleed Red"...

1. The guy needs to learn some basics of HTML. I've seen 3rd graders who create better pages and sites.

2. I have some real doubts about his claims - he said in one post he no longer coaches because he makes a 6 figure income doing whatever it is he does. If that's the case, why doesn't he hire someone who actually knows what they're doing in web design?

3. I have my doubts about his claims to have been a D-1 player and a coach. In one of his first posts, when Dave asked if he was a particular player, he said, "No", and then went on to say he was essentially a scrub. Later, in another post, he at least strongly implied he actually played against NU. A significant "upgrade" in his claim.

4. I have never encountered anyone who so desperately craves affirmation and adolation - except for N a m e l e s s. My experience is that those types wildly exaggerate their importance. So, while it appears he may have a "source" in the program, that's about all I'll accept without more proof.

5. Wadda bet that somewhere down the line he'll use that "source" to try and create some kind of competitor to the other boards. He's practically begging that we idolize him for his "scoop" on Pederson's termination - I think he's eventually going to try and use that to draw members to a competing site.

I may be way off base on those thoughts, but it sure fits the patterns I've encountered over the years...

 
Thanks Mike. And Frank I think youre spot on. Not that Im some type of PI, but Ive been around enough NU football to players to have a feel for their mentality on things. and I cant ever imagine ANY of them craving this type of attention from "virtual friends", when they should be able to get it in the real world w/out even trying. from the beginning I just assumed he had a rich uncle or something who is connected to the program. great. it's helped the board, but I agree if he goes name-less on us we will take his lunch & pull his card, like EZ-E.

Lets just freaking call the dude out and make him fes up about who he is and who he claims to know.

He is posting this on our board. We should be able to call his bluff.

Don't think we have anything to worry about with his weberizing skills. He has to use some sort of WYSIWYG app cause no body codes like that, looks like crap. It was probably created with a godaddy proprietary, make your site in an hour app.. or Front Page.
