I was giving a warning for making a post just like yours; I was accused of trolling, just like this post is.. I am guessing you didn't get the same warning since your post is still here?

have one that has decided to go after me as well, not that I think that is what is happening here. I get a trolling violation for responding to a trolling comment which resulted in me getting the post removed and a warning point. The other guy.. nothing.

THEN that mod sends me a trolling message

The reason you keep getting warnings is because you keep posting like this, 2000. I'm mystified as to why. Your posts belonged in the shed -- and I really am sorry if I didn't make it clear that they were moved there.

There's no need for what amounts to 'oh yeah? And you!' Please stop doing this to threads.

Even after the second time, no IM saying "hey, your post was moved" it wasn't until AFTER the warning that I receive anything from you, and that was because I responded asking why!

I think it is assumed that you are to always and immediately know on your own when you cross the line with a post, and you should always expect action regarding it or at least some kind of contact.
That way, if you are not contacted about a post you made, you know that a warning was implied by not taking the drastic step of contacting you about it.

It's like when I had a job applying transistors to circuit boards. A couple of coworkers kept breaking the transistors when they pushed them in, so they ask how to avoid breaking them.

I told them, "just stop before you push them in too far"

Last post in this forum. I would love to tell you what I said.. it was literally the weakest "trolling post" ever. THAT is why I wasn't sure what happened. I didn't personally attack anyone, nor was it even hostile.

I mainly move posts to Offending Posts without PMing out of laziness. These are posts that to me at least obviously belong to the 'Shed, but don't seem to be such a big deal as to require a talking-to, or warning points. Just remove them & hopefully everyone moves on, no harm, no foul.

I'm considering leaving the post in place and just checking the "edited by" box to say "post removed". Possibly that's a better system to avoid confusion. On the other hand, this is a non-issue in cases where the poster doesn't make multiple attempts to post the same offending one-liner. And in cases where that does happen, I think a warning is warranted.

Thanks for the discussion, 2000. Hopefully this is a wrap. Probably this outcome is for the best.

EDIT * Sorry guys, I was just informed that the cowboys won't be going by that name this year. Something about the moniker cowboy sounding to white male dominated I guess?

Instead Kevin Williams will be the STARTING Catcher for the "South Beach, I like it down south Cheese Dix" I guess the Winn Dixie down on Collins ave sponsored the team this year.
