I really hope you guys realize I was being sarcastic. Firing Bo would be idiotic.
No, it would be the right decision for the program moving forward.
Nope. It will make us a joke, just like in 2003. And we'll get another sh**ty coach like Callahan. Live through 5-7 seasons, fire him, and get a coach like Bo that can take us to the promised land but because it takes longer than a few years we fire him after winning seasons. Then we get a sh**ty coach..... repeat ad infinitum.
You realize Callahan and Bo are pretty much the same guy at this point, right?
I'm guessing you didn't do well in math growing up.
No worse than you at analogies.
It was an assertion, not an analogy. And as an assertion it is incorrect.
Yep, just as I theorized. You got owned on the verbal section of the sat's
And there is the personal attack. Classic Polo.
All these personal attacks, what is one gunna do? Feels like you are tattling

It's Polo's MO. I'm used to it by now. He knows he is wrong, but instead of admitting it he insults your intelligence.

Just like you can't guarantee Bo won't get better. Just saying.

You really just need to stop LLOMS. I literally used your logic.

Out of all the "Personal Attacks" I've seen on HB, saying you got owned on a section of the SAT's is just about the lowest of the totem pole of said personal attacks. I mean it's not like he called TA an idiot or a moron or something.... Wait, wasn't that you???

Not that it matters but I destroyed the SATs.

And TA honestly has questionable decision making skills. Which is what I have consistently stated

Sure, Bo's a good coach. He gets his nine wins a season and goes and wins the taxslayer.com gator bowl every now and then. But guess what, we don't care about the taxslayer.com gator bowl. We want to play for that nice and shiny National Championship trophy. We should be blowing out Minnesota, not giving up 400 some yard to Wisconsin, not winning in Overtime against Iowa, and not squeaking by McNeese. We should be dominating those teams, the kind of blowing them out 60-zip and were not even done with the first half domination (okay maybe I'm kidding...maybe). We want to see our defense completely dominate, playing physical, up in your face football. We want to be the team that everyone hates except out fans, the team that QB's fear more than anything in the world (other then that creepy Purdue mascot). We want to be in the top 5 every year, we want to play in the national championship game every year. Maybe Bo's a good coach for Colorado, or Illinois, but he's not a good coach for Nebraska.
And yet he will most likely be the coach of Nebraska next year. Despite your boring rant.
Get off the board. You know what you are going to read. Why waste the time if you don't share the opinion of the collective.
That's right...one of us..one of us

I can't comprehend a scenario in which a coaching change IS EVEN CONSIDERED after this win and before we see what happens in the Bowl Game.

Additionally, I can't envision Bo being fired if he wins the Bowl game, bringing home a trophy and a tenth win.

So, like a bratty kid in the toy aisle at Wal-Mart, one can scream all one wants, but it isn't going to happen anytime soon.

This isn't to say that any debates on the failings of this coaching staff doesn't have merit, but that's reality.
Like NUPolo?

Cotton is a joke. The only question is whether his still having a job is a better joke than every one of his kids getting a full ride to be a sh**ty player for the Huskers. The guy's a complete buffoon. He sucks as a coach. His satisfaction with mediocrity sucks. His attitude sucks. He amd his idiot children are the poster children for everything wrong with this program.

5 (BTN Stats Guys say 6 but I can't find the sixth person) FBS Power-Five head coaches have had 9+ wins in their first seven years of coaching. They are as follows:

Less games back then - profootball did not pay as much as it does now. Less interest in being a pro way different landscape in college football 30 years ago. (Economy was a lot better in the USA manf jobs other outlets for kids to make money, different rules, different recruitment rules, partial qualifiers, etc etc etc...)

I know two guys that played College football in the Big Ten in college about 20 and 30 years ago and both state they could not be on even the practice team now days because the game has changed so much from the 80s and 90s...

Only fair comparisson is now against current coaches in similar conf, but again we dont want fair comparisons there are so many straw man arguments on both sides its amazing this board is not more on fire.

Lets be fair to Bo - yes his winning record at Nebraska for todays current landscape is damn impressive, however is it good enough to stay as the HC for NU? Iowa State would love Bo, maybe we should give him to ISU, however can we replace him with someone better, if not what can we do to empower our current HC to win?

I need a snickers I read this board lately so much negativity makes me want to puke.
what makes me want to puke is you candy a$$ apologists. TO played and defeated teams in the top 10 and when they didn't win they at least looked like they belonged on the same field unlike with BOBO we continue to set records for most yds allowed ,biggest beat down letting teams trounce us that barely have a pulse . poor or no in game adjustments almost no player development , lack of discipline on the sideline thats what makes me F'N want to puke. Oh btw in TO's first 9 yrs I don't know for sure how many times we finished in the top 10 but I know it was some . With BOBO we are either out of the rankings or just barely in the top 25 barely, we had a little bit of success early in bo's tenure but that was with BC's boys. You people are the same ones that would take a 10th place ribbon and be proud of it. SICKENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been saying this for years. TO lost a lot to ranked teams, lost to OU 7 years in a row. Difference is TO lost 17-14...24-14. NOT 70-35 or 56-14. Oh and TO didn't tell the fans to F'off

This what I've been saying for years. Yes TO did lose a lot to ranked teams, lost to OU like 7 years in a row. But all the games where 17-14, 24-14 games. Games we still had a chance to win in the 4th. Bo behind 49-14 going into the 4th.

I really hope Pelini goes some where and puts that woodshed whipping on Neb. That's all.

I will follow and root for Pelini where ever he goes.

But I will for ever and always root and pull for my Huskers. Just hope they have a good coach by the time my boys are trying to get in there to play. 5 years and counting down. Lol
You're so full of sh#t. GTFO. I'd long suspected that many of the "Bo-lievers" were fans of Pelini first and Nebraska a distant second (if at all). You just confirmed my suspicions.

Your suspicions are ingnorant you fool. I was on this site and pulling for huskers before callaclown came here.

I suspect some of the people who think this is a Bo Pelini fan forum/message board will transfer.
I want to see how all of the "Fire Bo" haters play defense next year, now that they are no longer on offense.
I hope to see Scott Frost make an announcement before I go back to work tomorrow. Otherwise, you guys better stock up on Dramamine, it's might be rough sailing with the Seniors that were leaving already.
Do you butthurt Bolievers honestly think there's no chance someone (for you obviously outside Frost) that can come in with the talent we already have and not at least match Bo's 9 win ceiling immediately next year?
