Are you always in a pissy mood?
Good question. I guess i am kindof a d!ck, i sometimes wonder how I've got as many good friends as i do. I know I'm more fun when I'm drinking and partying, so there is that.

Actually, the last couple of weeks have sucked. A couple of close family members have been dealing with serious health issues, thanksgiving turned into sh!t show, work has been a cluster, and now this.

Uggg.

But thanks for asking.
I often come off as a jerk on these threads. It's just my delivery a lot of times but in reality I'm pretty upbeat and easy going. I think I'm just too passionate about my Husker football. So I understand where you're coming from. I've been trying to watch how I respond to posts on here because it usually comes off much worse than I intend.

Yeah, I'm able to pull off the dickishness better in person, with a smile on my face.

I think the whole message board anonymity plays a factor, too.

Okie: thanks for the kind words.
Better in person my a$$. You clearly get off on message board needling and never leave your mom's basement. Probably got beat up a lot in high school for being a little pansy and can't make friends now. I feel quite sorry for you.

Yeah how is that working out for Mike Leach. If you can recruit at Waco, TX you can recruit in Pullman.
Leach's TTech teams were much better than the teams hes had at Wazzu. Why? Easier to get Texas HS players to TTech.
Yeah...in all honesty...Pullman is the ultimate Pac-12 dump. OSU is #2.
I had a friend who went to Washington State...and he said they used to drive across the border to Moscow, Idaho on Friday nights because there was more happening.

Moscow has a population of 23,000

Mike Price's success way back was a total aberration.

There is almost no talent in Oregon and not much more in Washington. Everyone in the Pac-12 recruits from Cali.

Now Riley will be recruiting from Cali (with his ties to LA schools) and Texas.
If he wants success here, he'll need to do better than bringing 2* Cali talent. And who give a rat's behind about a few guys he put into the league or couple of wins against top5 teams? I thought this was about playing championship football?
He took those 2* recruits and turned them into NFL players. That is called development. Just think what he can do with high3* and 4* talent like we have.
So are we trying to be an NFL farm team,or win championships?
Alabama is an NFL farm team. How do they do?
Please explain to me how many championships Oregon St. won under their previous coach, and please point out any similarities they've had to Alabama in the past ten years.

I'll take your answer off the air, TIA!

Wow, you just dont get it. I'm sure that all the hate you have in your head right now is clouding any common sense that should be there. All your doing is reading what you want to read and then spouting your hate. How about actually READING all the posts before replying,

I read all of them. There is no hate in my head.i have genuine concerns about the hire of an un accomplished mediocre coach, all pedeyshine wiped away.
I'd appreciate if you could answer the questions that i previously asked, post pedeyshine removal.

Thank you.

Sweet. Where did each of those teams finish the year?

All messing around aside, is this really what we've come to as Husker nation? Seriously?

We sh#t can a guy that won 70% of his games and played for numerous championships because he was . mediocre, but are happy with a guy that has won three games against top 5 rated teams, put some guys in the NFL, and nothing else?

Seriously? I don't get it.

But this is the same crew that insisted that a slow footed 50% passer was a better quarterback than a fleet footed 60% passer based on press conferences, so i shouldn't be surprised.

They were in completely different environments, but you already know that. There's nothing you can do about it so get the hell over it already and see what happens. Get mad again when he does badly here.

You never get it because you can't understand context. We were glad to see Bo go after the hindsight of 7 years time of not being able to get it done HERE (emphasis added, you know, for emphasis).

We are excited and happy at the POTENTIAL of Riley here. Why can you not at least be ambivalent and then start your cancerous diatribe against him once he has actually given you reason, as our coach, at Nebraska, to disapprove.

I will gladly and swiftly concede that you were right if he doesn't do any better than Bo could. But you've got a while to wait and see.

Also, I wasn't in that crew you mention. I've never thought Tommy was nearly as good as Martinez and I still don't.
